    Maldives Anti-Corruption Commission appoints new SG

    Anti-Corruption Commission appoints former Tourism Ministry Permanent Secretary as the new Secretary General

    The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of the Maldives on Sunday, June 15, announced the appointment of its new Secretary General.

    The commission announced the appointment of Ms. Fathimath Nilfa as the new Secretary General. She had previously been the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism.

    ACC had been looking for a Secretary General for nearly six months before it made the announcement on Sunday of Nilfa’s appointment.

    She was the the Tourism Ministry’s highest civil servant during the former administration, to which she was appointed on March 10, 2021 and remained in the role until February 1, 2024 until her resignation.
