Nobu Hospitality has officially confirmed its debut in the Maldives with the announcement of Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives.

This new property, the first-ever of Nobu Hospitality in the Maldives, is set to be developed on the private island of Munyafushi in Laamu atoll.

According to Seanses, the property is scheduled for a 2029 debut.

Seanses also reports this development “is being undertaken in partnership with Sarat International” led by Managing Director Ali Ahsan. Sarat International has appointed Engineer Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Alkhudair as Chief Advisor for the project.

The tourist property will reportedly be comprised of a total of 56 villas, designed in line with Nobu’s established aesthetic.

    The accommodation offering includes:

    • 26 one- and two-bedroom beach villas positioned along the island’s shoreline
    • 30 on- and two-bedroom overwater villas
    • 10 Nobu Island Estate Residences with each occupying its own private island and featuring private beachfront, direct ocean access, and a dedicated yacht providing seamless connection to the main resort
