Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM) has officially opened its newly developed FSM fuel station in F. Nilandhoo. The launch marks another step in the company’s nationwide expansion drive.
A Nationwide Rollout Gains Momentum
The new facility forms part of a government-led programme to build modern fuel outlets across the Maldives. Notably, it follows the opening of a similar station in Sh. Milandhoo on March 28, 2026. Together, the two launches widen public access to reliable fuel services in the country’s outer atolls.
Furthermore, FSM has now begun work on 18 fuel stations in total under the broader initiative. The core goal is simple; every atoll should have at least one standardized facility. According to FSM, more than four stations under the project already serve customers. Meanwhile, remaining outlets sit at various stages of development.
Boost for Faafu Atoll
The F. Nilandhoo FSM fuel station strengthens fuel supply across Faafu Atoll. This cuts the need for long inter-island trips to refuel. In addition, the facility supports local fishing operations, transport services, and small businesses that depend on steady fuel access.
The new FSM fuel station in Nilandhoo reflects the company’s long-term strategy. Specifically, it brings modern, standardized infrastructure closer to residents and ease pressure on older supply points. With more launches on the horizon, FSM continues to extend its fuel station network across every atoll in the Maldives.
