Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Amjad Musthafa as the new head of the Employment Tribunal.

The new Employment Tribunal president’s appointment was formalized at a ceremony held at the President’s Office, where Amjad took oath of office before President Muizzu. Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Hameed administered the oath at the ceremony.

Following this, President Muizzu handed the letter of appointment to Amjad.

Amjad Musthafa holds a bachelor’s degree in Shariah and Law and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

He has worked extensively in the legal and public administration sectors for years. He also served as a member of the Minimum Wage Advisory Board.

Amjad has been the president of the Employment Tribunal back in 2020 as well.
