Maldivian telecom giant Dhiraagu posts a net profit of MVR195.8 million in the second quarter of 2021.

According to the recently publicized quarterly financial statement from the telecommunication and internet service provider, it had generated a quarterly revenue of MVR617.4 million.

Moreover, both the revenue earned as well as the profit retained slightly dipped when compared with the initial quarter of the year – a 6% decrease precisely.

The company’s revenue stood at MVR660.2 million and retained profit at MVR219.8 million during the first quarter.

According to Dhiraagu, the company faced unexpected challenges due to the abrupt reemergence of Covid-19 positive cases during the quarter – due to the new variants.
