Italy’s carrier Neos resumes their direct flight operations to the Maldives.
According to the airline, their flights will make landings at the Velana International Airport (VIA) on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays every week.
Meanwhile, the official Twitter handle of Velana International Airport had confirmed on the Neos Air flight landing at the airport. Moreover, the airline will be carrying passengers from both Milan and Rome directly to Male’.
The airline was already operating its flights to Maldives earlier, however the carrier put hold to its operations owing to worsening Covid-19 crisis in the island nation.
Italy, which has been a major source market to the Maldives tourism prior to Covid-19 pandemic had observed a significant decline in its arrivals numbers to the island nation. However, recent reports hint that the tourist arrivals from the European destination will pick up in the coming months.
