    Visit Maldives participates in IMTM 4th edition

    Visit Maldives participates in the fourth edition of IMTM

    Premier tourism promoter, Visit Maldives has participated in the fourth edition of the International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) 2021.

    Moreover, the IMTM 2021 was initially scheduled from 21st to 23rd September on the virtual platform of the IMTM Air. However, the event was eventually held from 26th to 28th October with the participation of several different countries.

    The IMTM 2021 is a business-to-business travel and trade fair bringing together international buyers including tour operators, travel agents, destination management companies as well as PR agencies from across the world.

    The international buyers liaise with local accommodation providers including resorts, hotels, guesthouses, liveaboards, dive centers, local tour operators and travel agents of the Maldives.

    Furthermore, the organizers expected on getting over 400 travel and trade visitors during the virtual event.

    Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Visit Maldives Mr. Thoyyib Mohamed noted on the importance of locally organized events to “further create connections and network with travel trade partners from around the world.”

    Moreover, he also pointed on IMTM Air being an ample platform for local and international stakeholders to meet and share latest destination information.

    The IMTM is a national developer and facilitator of MICE tourism in the Maldives. In addition to this, the organizer is a major contributor and a planner of the niche tourism concept in the island nation with their annual trade fairs.
