State Trading Organization set to introduce KONE touchless signalization for elevators

State Trading Organization (STO) is set to introduce Kone’s touchless signalization in the Maldives.

Moreover, the state-owned enterprise is the authorized distributor of Kone products in the island nation, which added that the touchless signalization in elevators will diminish possibilities of viral contagions coming into contact among people.

As such, STO in their press statement identifies that elevator buttons are one of the most “populous breading grounds for bacteria and distribution” due to these ‘environments’ being high traffic areas with “higher contamination rates.”

In a bid to reduce such contamination, Kone has introduced the KDS 330 touchless signalization option that will “eliminate contamination rates” by removing the need to make direct contact with the elevator buttons.

Furthermore, the KDS 330 from Kone provides customers with “excellent usability” while it is highly flexible due to the modular design. The touchless COP comes with two options for touchless landing calls included as well.

The options include, sensitivity on the buttons when users place their fingers within 1-centimeter of the up or down arrow symbols while the other option grants users to press arrow symbols using their foot.

Kone is a well regarded industry leader in providing elevator solutions and is known for its innovative technologies. The brand is also recipient of multiple Red Dot Design Awards in recent years while it continues to bring solutions to everyday issues; which includes the Kone air-purifier and the handrail sanitizers for escalators.
