Under the first phase of the project MTCC will reportedly launch services in the three northernmost atolls; Haa Alif, Haa Dhaal and Shaviyani out of which the transport and contracting company launched services in Haa Dhaal atoll first.

The RTL ferry service will operate between 13 residential islands of Haa Dhaal atoll via five different routes.

Earlier, MTCC had launched a trial run of the RTL service on 02nd May for the public to familiarize with the service; provided on free of charge during the trial period. Meanwhile, several familiarization programs were held from 06th to 09th June.

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (MNPHI) has confirmed that passengers will be able to book tickets online via the RTL application. Customers will now be able to download the app from both Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

Tickets for one-way trips are ranged between MVR30 to MVR100 and return tickets cost between MVR60 to MVR200 depending on transport destinations.
