Island Aviation reports it expects arrival of the Maldivian flagship carrier’s latest fleet additions in November 2022. The airline, Maldivian, purchased the planes for fleet expansion, earlier this year.

The national carrier is dropping its older Dash-6 otters in favor of ATR contemporaries. Meanwhile, a photo of a Maldivian ATR-72 at Toulouse-Blenjek Airport in France was circulated on social media on Saturday, 01st October.

Reports confirm two ATR-72s and one ATR-42 will be on their way to the island nation soon. The newest additions cost a total of USD 60 million, confirms Island Aviation.
