More than 35,800 applications for housing have been received to Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (MNPHI).
The applications for housing flats and land plots, through the “Gedhoruverin” portal registered a total of 35,861 before deadline.
The deadline for application submission initially was opened until 26th September, which commenced earlier in 26th June. However, the deadline was later extended until 15th October, 00:00hrs.
Under the scheme, state is issuing 3,000 plots out of the total 5,000 plots for registered Male’ citizens, and another 4,000 housing flats.
The ministry provided details of the applications, which included;
- ‘Binveriya’ (land plots) – 15,164 applications
- ‘Gedhoruveriya’ (3-bedroom apartments) – 14,489 applications
- ‘Gedhoruveriya’ (2-bedroom apartments) – 6,208 applications
Single applicants acquiring for land plots, will be subjected to a total space of 1,250 square-feet. Joint applicants will receive additional 400 square-feet for each of the additional applicants.
