    MTCC provides update of two of its ongoing projects

    MTCC provides recent updates of two ongoing development projects

    Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided recent updates on two of its ongoing infrastructural and development projects.

    According to the company’s most recent update, HDh. Hanimaadhoo harbor development project has inched close to completion, with 93% progress. The contractor is currently working on the construction of the concrete jetty, which comes under project components.

    Completed scope of works under the harbor development project include, new harbor basin dredging, existing channel dredging, construction of breakwater, quay wall, revetment and groyne. Additional components included construction of a ramp, bridge and installation of harbor lights.

    Project value is reportedly a total of MVR69.05 million.

    MTCC also provided update on its progress of B. Dharavandhoo shore protection project. The project has observed an overall 77% completion, with construction of breakwater recently completed.

    Meanwhile, fourth shipment of rock boulders necessary for project development have been delivered to project site.

    Scope of the shore protection project include beach filling of 10,800 cubic meters, construction of a 490 meters breakwater and a 96 meters revetment. Project value is MVR22.1 million.
