    STELCO offers Hajj and Umrah trips to four employees

    STELCO announces its Hajj and Umrah trip winners for this year

    State Electric Company (STELCO) has offered trips to Saudi Arabia to four of its employees to perform the Islamic sacred acts of Hajj and Umrah.

    The winners were selected through a lucky draw on Wednesday evening, 08th March at Kudagiri Picnic Island, on the sidelines of celebrating International Women’s Day as well as welcoming the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

    STELCO earlier announced the opportunity to all of its employees, and the utility provider announced 96 male employees and 22 female employees were eligible for Hajj. From the total applicants to the Umrah offer, STELCO reported 262 male employees and 56 female employees were eligible.

    Hajj Trip Winners

    • Abdulla Shareef (Transmission and Distribution Department)
    • Khadheeja Thaufeeqa (Finance and Accounting Department)

    Umrah Trip Winners

    • Shaahul Hameed (Service Center)
    • Fathimath Rizna (Procurement Department)

    STELCO offers Hajj trips to individuals who have been employed with the corporation for 15 years and more, while Umrah trips are offered to individuals who have been employed for five years and more. Interested employees should submit their applications to be shortlisted for the trips.
