In a bold move that promises to redefine luxury tourism in the Maldives, the visionary project known as Projekt Delfin is set to grace the azure waters of Tholimarahuraa, a pristine and secluded lagoon in the South Male Atoll. This extraordinary venture takes its name from the frequent sightings of schools of dolphins in the nearby channel, adding a touch of enchantment to the entire development.

The driving force behind Projekt Delfin is Atoll Estates Holding, a UAE-based company, along with its 100% subsidiary in the Maldives, Prime Atoll Maldives. The company’s founders, Amit Majumder and Dmitry Bourtov, boast a wealth of experience in developing and managing luxury resorts in the Maldives. Dmitry’s previous ownership and development of the renowned Jumeirah Maldives on Olhahali Island, and Amit’s role as the General Manager of the award-winning Jumeirah Vittaveli, have laid the foundation for this exceptional project.

The duo first crossed paths in 2013 and later founded Atoll Estates in 2020. Together, they conceived Projekt Delfin and, in 2022, acquired the prime site in the Maldives, setting the stage for what is anticipated to be the most sustainable tourism development in the world. The project has garnered support from internationally acclaimed consultants, each contributing their expertise to bring the visionary concept to life.

Killa Design from the UAE has master-planned the development and is also the architect behind one of the largest luxury resorts within the project. With a shared vision and unwavering commitment to architecture, design, function, and sustainability, Shaun Killa joined the founders early on, infusing the project with a truly remarkable essence.

At the heart of Projekt Delfin’s philosophy is a dedication to clean and renewable energy sources. Every building within the development will incorporate Building Integrated Solar Panels (BIPV), eliminating the need for fossil fuel generators. Additionally, numerous other sustainable initiatives have been integrated into the project, emphasizing the commitment to environmental responsibility.

Upon completion, Projekt Delfin will encompass three distinct resorts and a Super Yacht Marina, truly epitomizing integrated luxury. A tantalizing array of 28 F&B outlets, upscale retail boutiques, state-of-the-art wellness centers, and more will be available to guests. The resorts will range from an ultra-luxurious haven operated by an internationally renowned luxury brand to an experiential luxury resort and a vibrant lifestyle resort. Furthermore, several F&B, wellness, and retail elements will be managed by esteemed international brands making their debut in the Maldives market, ensuring an unmatched experience for visitors.

The development aims to welcome not only in-house guests but also non-resident visitors, facilitating easy access with round-the-clock shuttles between Velana International Airport and the resort. With thoughtful curation and innovative elements introduced into the Maldives market, Projekt Delfin seeks to diversify the tourism market segment and elevate the appeal of the Maldives on a global scale.

As construction progresses on this groundbreaking tourism masterpiece, the world eagerly awaits the unveiling of Projekt Delfin, a testament to sustainable luxury and an ode to the natural beauty of the Maldives.
