    MNACI confers ‘Bodu Rasgefaanu’ title to President

    MNACI confers highest recognition award to President Dr. Muizzu

    The Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) has awarded President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu with their most prestigious title in recognition of his contribution to the construction industry.

    President Muizzu was presented with the ‘Bodu Rasgefaanu’ title at the MNACI Builder Awards 2023 held at JEN Maldives Male’ by Shangri-La on Sunday evening, December 24.

    MNACI emphasized President Muizzu’s role in making sustainable advances in the construction and building sectors throughout his previous tenures as both the former Minister of Housing and Male’ City Mayor.

    The association acknowledged President Muizzu’s instrumental role in overseeing the construction of some of the tallest structures in the country that include the Dharmavantha Hospital and Hiyaa housing towers.

    He was also credited with supervising the first bridge project in the Maldives’ history; the Sinamale’ Bridge.

    A total of six construction industry professionals and companies received accolades at the debut edition of the MNACI Builder Awards.

    Both Alia Construction and Amin Construction took home the “Best Contractor of the Year” title, Villa Hakatha grabbed the “Cement Supplier of the Year” title. Bison Maldives won the “Project Delivery of the Year” award as well.

    Additionally, two construction industry veterans were conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Construction for their extensive contributions to the industry.

    The Lifetime Achievement Awards were conferred to Abdulla Mohamed, the Chairman of Amin Group of Companies and Mohamed Ali Janah, the Chairman of Hotels and Resort Investment Maldives and MNACI’s current President.
