Ooredoo Maldives announced the official landing of PEACE Cable in Kulhudhuffushi City on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
The landmark achievement marks the first international cable landing on an island outside of Hulhumale’, and is aimed at strengthening the digital infrastructure of the Maldives.
“The installation of the PEACE Cable in Kulhudhuffushi City connecting the Maldives with Singapore and the Europe, is not only a milestone achievement for the island but to the entire Maldives which is guaranteed to open new doors of opportunities and provide economical benefits,” said the Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef.
