Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed an agreement with the Maldives government to provide speed ferry and Raajje Transport Link (RTL) services for multiple atolls.
MTCC said it would be providing speed ferry services between Mulaku atoll and Male’ City, and RTL ferry services at Noonu, Raa, and Baa atolls, as per the agreement.
Abdulla Ziyad, the Chief Executive Officer signed the agreement on behalf of MTCC and the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamed Ameen signed on behalf of the government.
MTCC said it is expanding the state-initiated RTL ferry services to the remaining atolls to connect the entire country via a reliable ferry network. It added the project aims to introduce reliable, efficient, convenient, and sustainable passenger ferry services to all administration islands of the Maldives.
