Velana International Airport (VIA) announced the partners for the Air Service World Congress (ASWC) 2024.
The announcement was made at a special event held at Noovilu Seaplane Terminal, which saw participation of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) Managing Director, deputy managing directors, senior management, and partners.
Speaking at the event, MACL Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed said, “President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has prioritized the development of Velana International Airport with a visionary Masterplan and that this plan will drive national prosperity through aviation development, congruent with the growth of our tourism sector.”

The ASWC 2024 will offer unparalleled networking and business opportunities, which will be amble to build lasting relationships.
Additionally, the Chief Guest of the event, Chairperson of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) Aysha Nurain Janah highlighted the potential of the AWSC in bringing new partnerships and expanding networks.

The Air Service World Congress 2024 is the first aviation route development event in the Maldives, “bringing together international delegates for face-to-face discussions” on the future of the aviation.
The conference, scheduled from July 09 to 11, 2024 at Kurumba Maldives is expected to attract over 300 delegates from various regions of the world, which would include airport and route development executives, airline executives and networking planners, aviation suppliers, and representatives from aviation and tourism bodies.
