    Ooredoo Maldives to host ex-PSG footballer Okocha at Partnership Event

    Ooredoo Maldives is expected to host Augustine Azuka “Jay-Jay” Okocha, former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star and Nigerian national team icon, for an official visit to the Maldives.

    The football icon is set to visit the Maldives from July 01 to 06, as part of a strategic partnership between Ooredoo Maldives and PSG.

    The telecommunication service provider, plans to make the best out of this visit, including a futsal contest allowing customers to play alongside Okocha. Participants can enter the competition using the hashtag #PSGLegendinMV until June 10, 2024 – and five winners will be randomly selected.

    Besides this, Ooredoo Maldives will host two PSG Academy training session for young footballers, featuring coaches from the academy.

    A lucky draw will be held offering customers a chance to win a trip to Laamu, either by upgrading or subscribing to new plans during the promotional period. Two lucky winners will join Okocha for the Ooredoo Fun Run in Laamu atoll Gan scheduled on July 05, 2024.

    Jay-Jay Okocha is a Nigerian former professional footballer, who is celebrated for his impressive career as an attacking midfielder. The star footballer represented his home country’s national team, while earning 73 caps between 1993 and 2006 and scoring 14 goals.

    He was also a member of three FIFA World Cup squads as well.
