STELCO MD urge staff to unite towards growth, and support to government's cost-cutting cause

State Electric Company (STELCO) Managing Director Hussain Fahmy has called his staff to collectively align their ambition with the nation’s best interest.

He urged STELCO staff to cooperate and support the utility provider in its efforts to assist the government’s cost-cutting efforts, while pushing the speed of its operations up.

Fahmy made these remarks earlier on on July 04, at the concluding ceremony of the “Development Program for Station Managers” symposium. The symposium ran from June 30 to July 04.

In his speech, Fahmy said STELCO had the capacity of becoming the country’s top state-owned enterprise – based on the technical and academic qualifications of its employees, and the overall capability of the entire workforce.

He further urged the station managers to apply what they learned at the symposium.

Fahmy said STELCO can progress further if the organization strengthens employee appraisals and acknowledgement of their work, as well as by forging stronger bonds with the communities the company serve.
