Business Center Corporation (BCC) managed Authentic Maldives brand’s newest outlet opens in Alifu Alifu atoll Thoddoo on Saturday evening.

The outlet was opened by Moosa Hassan, owner of ‘Moosa Arts’ – the first goods supplier to Thoddoo.

BCC’s Managing Director Ibrahim Ziyau became the first customer of the Authentic Maldives outlet, following its inauguration. Ziyau had purchased a local supplier’s creation and gifted it to Thoddoo council’s president.

With Authentic Maldives, BCC aims to promote and market the products made or created by Maldivian craftspeople and artisans, both locally and globally. Ziyau said BCC remains committed in finding further local and international avenues to promote and market the products made by Maldivian entrepreneurs.

To mark the inauguration of Authentic Maldives’ new outlet in Thoddoo, 20% of the outlet’s sales on Sunday, July 14, will be donated to Palestine.

Opened with the assistance of World Bank, the new Authentic Maldives outlet in Thoddoo is the fifth outlet under the brand. Besides the new outlet in Thoddoo, BCC previously opened its Authentic Maldives brand outlets in Male’ City, CROSSROADS Maldives, Velana International Airport (VIA), and Gan International Airport.

Through the Authentic Maldives outlets, over 5,000 different products made by 300 Maldivian craftspeople and artisans are marketed and sold.
