    Over 76,000 tourist arrivals in July so far

    Maldives welcomes over 76,000 tourists so far in July

    Tourist arrivals to the Maldives so far in July has reached over 76,000 according to Ministry of Tourism’s statistics.

    The arrival figure from July 1 to 15, is an 11.8% increment compared to the same period in 2023. Arrivals for the same period in 2022 reached 66,830 while in the said period of last year, arrivals stood at 68,723.

    So far, Maldives has welcomed a total of 1,092,366 tourists from January 1 to July 15; which is a 9.4% increment compared to the corresponding period in 2023. Arrivals for the same period in 2022 and 2023, stood at 880,049 and 998,330, respectively.

    • January: 192,385
    • February: 217,392
    • March: 194,227
    • April: 168,366
    • May: 119,875
    • June: 123,284
    • June (1st-15th): 76,837

    Daily arrival average is at 5,545 in annual terms. Average duration of stay in annual terms is 7.7 days. The highest arrival on a single day was recorded on Monday, with an arrival total of 5,773 tourists while the lowest was on July 9, when Maldives had welcomed 4,169 tourists.
