Russia has maintained top spot as the strongest single source market to the Maldives while arrivals from the country are expected to pick up in numbers during the upcoming tourism peak season in the country.

Moreover, Visit Maldives is collaborating with TEZ Tour on a special campaign that initiated in August and will run through September as well. The campaign aims to target travelers and tourism industry stakeholders in Russia.

The destination promotion efforts by Visit Maldives in association with TEZ Tour include dedicated advertising and other promotional activities on social media platforms, TV and Radio, travel blogs as well as through webinars.

Ministry of Tourism’s latest updates, as of 18th August, reveal that Russia has remained as the top source market to Maldives so far in 2021 with a total arrival of 154,380 up to the review date which accounts for 22% of the total tourist arrivals to the country.
