Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL) has begun effective use of the new apron developed at Hanimaadhoo International Airport. The new apron was officially put into the airport’s effective operations on February 18, 2024 with the landing of Maldivian Airline’s flight in morning. RACL Managing Director said the apron, while not part of the original developmental scope of the airport, was developed according to the instructions provided by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu; as a means of improving the airport’s revenue. Ooredoo Maldives announced the official landing of PEACE Cable in Kulhudhuffushi City on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The Bank of Maldives (BML) on Thursday, February 15, 2024 announced a promotion for customers applying for Lui Loan and BML Islamic Financing. Applications collected and approved during the promotional period will automatically qualify for the promotion. BML confirms the promotion that commenced Thursday will run until March 10, 2024. According to the national bank, a grand winner will be selected at the end of the promotion subject to receive MVR 50,000.
