Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed an agreement with the Maldives government to provide speed ferry and Raajje Transport Link (RTL) services for multiple atolls. MTCC said it would be providing speed ferry services between Mulaku atoll and Male’ City, and RTL ferry services at Noonu, Raa, and Baa atolls, as per the agreement. State Electric Company Limited (STELCO)’s Managing Director Hussain Fahmy on Monday confirmed dispatching a technical team to assist Fenaka Corporation. Fahmy said on X, that an expert technical team of STELCO was dispatched upon Fenaka Corporation’s request to assist them in resolving the power outage issue in Kulhudhuffushi City. The Maldives government has contracted China’s Dongfeng Electric International Corporation to develop fish processing factories in three strategic locations in the Maldives. The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Sunday with the Chinese corporation, which is aimed at addressing the constraints in weighing and processing fish. The Maldives government has contracted China’s CAMC Engineering for the development of an integrated maritime hub in Laamu atoll. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday, between Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) CEO Mohamed Wajeeh and CAMC Engineering’s General Manager Lee Wei Wei.
