The Maldives government on Monday has appointed the new Registrar of Companies.
The Minister of Economic Development, Mohamed Saeed, in a post on X had congratulated the new appointment, Mariyam Shamma Ismail who succeeds outgoing Mariyam Visam.
Shamma completed her Bachelor of Laws from the University of West of England (UWE). She was the Consumer Ombudsman in 2021 and before that she was the legal consultant at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
Her other professional responsibilities included the Director of Legal and Policy Affairs at the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) and the Registrar at the Supreme Court.
