Marvel Studios has officially announced the commencement of production for Avengers: Doomsday. Revealed on March 26, the news was accompanied by an impressive cast lineup, featuring a mix of returning MCU icons and exciting new faces.
The film’s ensemble includes familiar Marvel heroes, villains, and anti-heroes such as Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Wyatt Russell (US Agent), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), and Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova).
Kelsey Grammer is set to reprise his role as Beast from X-Men: The Last Stand, while members of the Fantastic Four will also make an appearance. Vanessa Kirby will portray The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn takes on the role of Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will bring The Thing to life.
The expanding cast also welcomes Thunderbolts newcomers Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry and Danny Ramirez as Falcon. Additionally, Tenoch Huerta is set to return as Namor, further enriching the film’s diverse lineup of characters.
Marvel Studios first unveiled Avengers: Doomsday at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024, thrilling fans with the revelation that Robert Downey Jr., best known for his iconic role as Tony Stark/Iron Man, would now step into the shoes of Dr. Victor von Doom. Adding to the excitement, the Russo Brothers, the acclaimed directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, will return to helm the project, bringing back the creative force behind some of the MCU’s biggest successes.
