President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his commitment to shaping a developed Maldives with youth at the heart of national progress, as he launched the first episode of Spot On!, a new social media podcast series dedicated to engaging with young Maldivians.

Addressing the nation’s youth directly, President Muizzu expressed that his ultimate goal is to transform the Maldives into a developed nation, powered by the active participation of its younger generation. With young people comprising approximately one-third of the country’s population, the podcast episode served as both a message of encouragement and a roadmap for youth-led development.

“I want to see Maldivian youth not just contributing, but leading across every field,” President Muizzu said. “My vision is for every young person to grow into a proud citizen who honours our national identity and upholds Islamic values.”

Throughout the episode, President Muizzu responded to five questions submitted by young citizens, addressing their expectations and outlining his Administration’s efforts to address their concerns. He emphasised the importance of transparency and sincerity in leadership, noting that his engagement with youth is built on a foundation of trust and open dialogue.

The President also underscored the role of youth in the Maldives’ digital transition, encouraging their active involvement as the nation builds a modern economy rooted in innovation and technology.

Offering a more personal glimpse into his journey, President Muizzu shared stories and memories from his own youth, further connecting with listeners. The episode also featured light-hearted moments, with the President demonstrating an understanding of youth culture and modern slang—reinforcing his aim to bridge generational gaps through relatable conversation.

Spot On! marks a new approach to presidential outreach, leveraging digital platforms to directly engage with the Maldivian youth population. The series aims to foster ongoing dialogue, empower young voices, and create space for collaborative progress on national issues.

The debut episode is now available on the President’s official social media channels.
