    Tianjin, China – His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met today with the Right Honourable KP Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention Centre.

    During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed the enduring friendship and robust bilateral ties between the Maldives and Nepal. They expressed a strong commitment to strengthening cooperation in key areas, including education, economic diversification, and joint efforts within multilateral platforms.

    The discussions underscored a shared vision of enhancing regional collaboration and promoting sustainable development through deeper bilateral engagement.

    Concluding the meeting, President Dr. Muizzu extended his gratitude to Nepal for its continued support, with both leaders agreeing to work closely towards achieving tangible outcomes in areas of mutual interest.
