State Trading Organization (STO) has officially opened its new People’s Choice outlet in Hulhumale’.

The opening ceremony was held on Tuesday evening, February 17, at the newly established premises in Hulhumale’. The event was graced by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed as the chief guest.

With the rapid growth of the population in Hulhumale’, the lack of a direct STO presence had been a frequent concern for residents. The establishment of this new outlet aims to address these concerns by providing residents with convenient access to STO’s wide range of products.

In preparation for Ramadan, which has now begun, the outlet will stock essential commodities including rice, sugar, and flour as well as 23 additional items recently added to the basic food supplies list.

Moreover, the Hulhumale’ outlet will offer the same extensive selection of international brands available at the STO People’s Choice in Male’, which includes popular home improvement brands such as Hitachi, LG, and Philips.

All items categorized as essential food supplies will be available for retail purchase at this outlet.

STO also plans to introduce wholesale services for businesses operating in Hulhumale’ in the near future.

While the opening of this outlet coincides with Ramadan, it is intended to remain a permanent establishment.

The new STO People’s Choice outlet is located at Reethigas Magu (Rain Coral Residence), Hulhumale’.
