Maldives Gas Restores Full Cylinder Sales Following Supply Disruption

Maldives Gas has lifted restrictions on the purchase of 10kg gas cylinders, announcing that a fresh shipment has arrived and resolved the supply shortfall that had temporarily halted sales.

The disruption stemmed from broader instability in global energy markets, driven by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, including military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran, which triggered considerable volatility in international oil and gas prices.

In response to the constrained supply environment, Maldives Gas had introduced controlled sales measures to safeguard continuity of service for its customers, which included suspending retail sales of the 10kg cylinders.

The company confirmed that the newly arrived shipment has fully addressed the shortage, and that customers may now purchase 10kg cylinders without any limitations effective immediately.
