CoolFly’s manned drone and electric aircraft demonstrates their products for the first time in the Maldives.
A special showcasing of these electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft was held in Hulhumale’. The event was arranged and organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Chinese Embassy.
During the demonstrations, operators showcased the capabilities of these manned drones and eVTOL aircraft.
All of the eVTOL aircraft and manned drones are products of CoolFly, a Chinese personal electric aircraft developer.
Based in Hangzhou, China, CoolFly’s range of personal aircraft line include CoolFly Urban, CoolFly DREAM Pro, and CoolFly Dream ST.
The product’s official website reads that these personal aircraft are ideal in tourism industries, farms and ranches, and for outdoor recreation.
Ministry of Transport stated such personal aircraft are ideal in connecting the islands, highlighting their application for providing logistical assistance to transport basic goods and services.
Ministry of Economic Development said this initiative is the result of the talks held during the China-Maldives Investment Corporation Forum back in October 2026.
