    State spend MVR3.76bn towards Covid-19 efforts

    Maldives government spend MVR3.76bn towards Covid-19 related efforts so far

    Maldives government has spent a total of MVR3,763.4 million (MVR3.76 billion) towards Covid-19 related efforts, so far.

    Moreover, as per the Ministry of Finance the state had spent a total of MVR1,990.6 million (MVR1.99 billion) on health and social efforts, marking just a 0.2% increment from the week before.

    During the review period from the total health and social spending, 58.8% had been committed-spending.

    Furthermore, in terms of week-on-week spending Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) registered the highest spending compared to its peers.

    On the other hand, the total economic response spending by 05 August 2021 reached MVR1,772.8 million (MVR1.77 billion), which remains unchanged from the week before.

    In addition to this, there had been no further disbursements made towards any of the Economic Response Plan schemes during the review period.
