    Visit Maldives has successfully concluded the WTM London 2021 along with 58 industry partners.

    Moreover, the travel and trade fair was held from 01st until 03rd November. The World Travel Market (WTM) London is one of the leading global events in the travel industry providing a grand platform for industry professionals to meet and conduct business deals.

    The fair creates opportunities to its exhibitors and visitors to network and expand their reach with quality contacts, content and communities.

    Furthermore, this is the first time the WTM fair is being held as a hybrid event while the physical in-person fair is taking place after a year’s break due to the Covid-19 pandemic felt in the UK.

    Meanwhile, the WTM London 2021 was participated by a total of 102 representatives from 58 companies along with Visit Maldives.

    Visit Maldives along with local industry partners had participated in the event to connect and network with industry stakeholders, travel and trade partners from the UK market and around the globe.

    At the event, Visit Maldives and industry partners conducted one-on-one meetings in person and virtually, while individual products and properties of the Maldives tourism industry were promoted as well.

    In addition to this, a press conference was held by Managing Director and CEO of MMPRC, Thoyyib Mohamed, Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom and Executive Director of Sun Siyam Resorts, Ms. Zuley Manik.

    Moreover, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had attended a special VIP event held on the last day of the event.

    Additionally, Visit Maldives had organized a roadshow in the UK to promote MICE tourism opportunities available in the country.
