Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) has launched a joint advertising campaign with ITAKA, targeting the Polish market.

Moreover, the tourism promoter of the Maldives affirms that the campaign is month-long and will run from January until February 2022.

Under the joint campaign between Visit Maldives and ITAKA, digital marketing and outdoor ambient activities will be conducted to promote Maldivian tourism products and experiences.

Maldives is being promoted in the Polish market as a tourism safe haven while the resorts, hotels, guesthouses and liveaboards operating in the island nation’s tourism industry will be showcased.

Furthermore, as part of the campaign Maldives will be promoted through Google ads on major Polish websites, portals, social media platforms, push messages and emails sent through Polish travel trade ventures to potential travelers.

In addition to this, slides showcasing Maldives will be advertised on App TV in 15 shops around Poland during the campaign while outdoor advertising will be placed in two areas of the country.

According to tourist statistics, a total of 23,597 travelers from Poland arrived in Maldives in 2021. The Polish market is a new and emerging market to the island nation.

MMPRC’s associated partner in the campaign, ITAKA is one of the most popular tour operators in Poland with 30 years of experience. The tour operator offers holidays to over 100 different locations worldwide and it was reported that ITAKA had served a total of 915,000 clients in 2018.
