    The Maldives Ministry of Tourism announce on debuting their latest tourism related show, “Tourism Upbeat Talk Show” on 17th February 2022.

    The talk show falls under myriad of activities planned out by the government institution for the current year in commemoration of the country’s Golden Jubilee of Tourism – which falls precisely on October.

    Meanwhile, it has been announced by the ministry that the panelists of the debut show of the series will include notable tourism pioneers of the Maldives.

    According to the ministry, the panelists include Chairman of Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) Mr. Mohamed Umar Manik, Minister of Health Mr. Ahmed Naseem, Vice Chairman of MATI Mr. Hussain Afeef and Mr. George Corbin, who is credited with bringing the very first tour group to the Maldives back on 16th February 1972.

    The talk show will be hosted at the auditorium of Maldives National University, at 00:16hrs Maldivian local time while the host and moderator of the show will be current Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom.

    Moreover, the very first show of the series will focus on the lengthy journey of tourism growth in the Maldives which had spanned for fifty years, and counting. The panelists will discourse and review on the significant growth, expansion and evolution of the country’s tourism industry through five decades.

    Interested parties, including general public and students have been invited to attend the talk show will it airs live.
