Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has teamed up with PickYourTrail for a new marketing effort that aims to increase the destination momentum in the Indian market.

MMPRC notified that the new campaign will be three months long, commencing in April and lasting until the end of July. The initiative aims to create wider interest among Indian travel trades and travelers towards the island nation.

Under the joint-campaign, Maldives will be promoted as the most preferred vacation spot as well as one of the safest holiday destinations for Indian travelers across all affluent segments.

The campaign is aligned with MMPRC’s market strategies of boosting momentum and brand presence in the Indian market.

India is one of the top source markets to the Maldives, while the country had ranked first in 2021 in terms of total number of tourist arrivals. Meanwhile, as of 30th March, Indian traveler total reached 46,154 in annual terms which is a 10.8% market share.

PickYourTrail is one the most beloved leisure travel brands hailing from India which has observed exponential growth due to its unique DIY online platform allowing new-age travelers to create and customize their holiday plans.
