Four Seasons Resorts Maldives at Kuda Huraa appoints its new General Manager, Mr. Didier Jardin.

Mr. Jardin is a hospitality veteran, who has been with the Four Seasons since 1994. While he spent most of his formative years as a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ and a thrill-seeking daredevil, Mr. Jardin found a new calling in the hospitality field for which he completed a two-year apprenticeship to become a fine-dining waiter.

While born in La Ferte Bernard and grew up in Loire Valley, Mr. Jardin moved to Paris after completing his apprenticeship, where he spent the next three years studying hotel management and earning a CFA Food and Beverage Diploma from Chartres, and a Hotel Management Diploma in Lasalle College.

“After graduation, marriage and three cold winters, we were craving a warmer life. Somewhere with waterfalls, beaches and rainforest,” Mr. Jardin recalls.

Mr. Jardin and his wife strapped on the backpacks and a tent, and flew to Hawaii, and “applied everywhere in the islands and got offers from a Mexican restaurant on the beach” and the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. His decision to stick with Four Seasons, is the start of his decades long career with the hospitality brand.

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, is reportedly Mr. Jardin’s tenth Four Seasons posting.

Prior to his General Manager position in this idyllic slip, he had worked in several exquisite locations such as Santa Barbara, Bora Bora, Mauritius and Hualalai as well as in the cityscapes of New York, Cairo and even Chicago.
