    Maldives wins multiple accolades at WTA 2022

    Maldives won multiple accolades at World Travel Awards 2022 Indian Ocean categories

    Maldives becomes recipient to multiple accolades under the Indian Ocean category of World Travel Awards 2022.

    Winners were announced at the WTA Africa and Indian Ocean Gala ceremony held in Nairobi, Kenya.

    Maldives won three awards under India Ocean category, which include;

    • Indian Ocean Leading Destination Award
    • Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination Award
    • Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination Award

    Furthermore, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Tourist Board 2022 award. Velana International Airport (VIA) won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Airport 2022 and Hulhule’ Island Hotel (HIH) won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Airport Hotel 2022 award.

    Get into Maldives Travel won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Luxury Tour Operator award, while Simply Maldives won the Indian Ocean’s Leading Travel Agency award.

    Several Maldivian tourist properties won accolades under various Indian Ocean categories. The awards include;

    • Leading Resort: Vakkaru Maldives
    • Leading Luxury Island Resort: Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi
    • Leading New Resort: Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali
    • Leading Private Island Resort: Velaa Private Island
    • Leading Villa Resort: Grand Park Kodhipparu
    • Leading All-Inclusive Resort: Constance Moofushi
    • Leading Water Villa Resort: Four Seasons Kuda Huraa
    • Leading Boutique Resort: Fushifaru Maldives
    • Most Romantic Resort: Baros Maldives
    • Leading Dive Resort: Constance Moofushi
    • Leading Family Resort: Kurumba Maldives
    • Leading Honeymoon Resort: JA Manafaru
    • Leading Hotel: Conrad Maldives Rangali Island
    • Leading Hotel Suite: Vakkaru Over Water Residence, Vakkaru Maldives
    • Leading Leisure Hotel: Anantara Veli

    The World Travel Awards is hailed as the most complete and comprehensive travel trade award in the world.
