NDTV Food has featured the Maldives on one of its special episodes, focusing on the country’s gastronomy.

This episode is expected to reach over 130 million households and 20 million individual users via their mobile apps, reported Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

The special episode titled “Food & Flavours from the Sunny Side of Life” featured the Chef de Cuisine Mohamed Haneef from LUX* South Ari Atoll. The title is a reference to the main slogan used by tourism promoters to market the island nation.

The 20-minute episode provided introduction into Maldivian cuisines, detailing popular local dishes. Additionally, the episode focused on food sustainability practices, health benefits from the local cuisine, outdoor cooking experience and fresh farm-to-fork experiences.

Chef Haneef was joined by LUX* South Ari Atoll’s Resort Manager Masdhooq Saeed, who spoke on the importance of incorporating sustainable practices into the culinary scene.

The episode was digitally promoted on NDTV, NDTVfood.com and on their social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
