    Maldives President recognize MMPRC role in tourism promotion

    Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih recognizes the role of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in Maldives tourism promotion.

    The Maldives head of state visited and met with management and staff of MMPRC on Monday, 14th November. President Solih had recognized the vital role of MMPRC in promoting the Maldives as a tourism destination and “extended his gratitude” to the staff for their “invaluable contributions” to the Maldives tourism sector.

    Maldives was recently crowned “World’s Leading Destination” at the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2022, making this the third win in a row for the island nation. Additionally, MMPRC was crowned “World’s Leading Tourism Board” at WTA 2022, which marks it the very first time the country received the leading tourism board win.

    Speaking with the company’s staff, President Solih recognized the hard work and dedication of MMPRC management and staff during Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, President Solih affirmed MMPRC of the administration’s continued cooperation and support.

    During his visit to the country’s top tourism promoter’s headquarters, President Solih was presented with a commemorative plaque of appreciation, and a copy of the book series titled “Tales of Maldives” along with a book on the company’s accomplishments in 2021.
