    Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced it will host an open day event to recruit personnel for Kudagiri Picnic Island.

    HDC is set to hire required employees for the picnic island prior to the island’s official unveiling to public.

    The open day is scheduled for Saturday, 17th December from 09:00hrs until 15:00hrs at HDC’s main headquarters in Hulhumale’. The open day event will be held in the establishment’s ground floor.

    Interested applicants may visit HDC headquarters during the open day event for walk-in interviews. Applicants must attend with accredited or real copies of academic or other relevant certificates and national ID card or its accredited copies.

    The picnic island has largely been designed and developed already, with minor development aspects remaining.

    Kudagiri lies approximately 10 minutes via speedboat away from Male’ City. The new picnic destination measures 8 hectares in size, with a 1.5 hectares lagoon. HDC is currently working on finalizing all necessary logistical arrangements prior to the grand unveiling.

    The island has been developed by the joint efforts of five state-owned companies which include HDC alongside MTCC, MWSC, Fenaka and STELCO each taking up developmental aspects they respectively operate in.
