Vakkaru Maldives is excited to welcome back Mate Pavic, former World No.1 men’s doubles tennis player, to their luxurious island retreat.

From November 9 to 11, Pavic will be offering guests an exclusive tennis experience, marking his second visit to the resort. With an impressive tennis career, including six Grand Slam championships and recent victories at prestigious events, Pavic is set to host exclusive tennis clinics on November 9 and 10, providing lucky participants with a unique chance to learn from a tennis legend.

Additionally, on November 11, Pavic will play an exhibition match against the resort’s resident coach, Miha Plesnik. This collaboration reaffirms Vakkaru’s reputation as one of the premier destinations in the Maldives for a world-class tennis experience.

The resort has continuously enhanced its tennis offerings since 2020, partnering with Tipsarevic Luxury Tennis, founded by former World No. 8 tennis player Janko Tipsarevic.

Vakkaru’s cobalt-blue courts, recently refurbished and resurfaced by a company responsible for international-level courts, including those at the Australian Open, provide the perfect setting for tennis enthusiasts.

During his stay, Pavic will enjoy the luxury of a villa with breathtaking ocean views, a private infinity pool, and access to top-notch amenities. Guests at Vakkaru can also indulge in various wellness treatments at the Merana Spa, savor exquisite dining options, and explore the marine wonders of Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, ensuring a truly exceptional and unforgettable experience.
