    Tourism Minister meets MMPRC and stakeholders

    Tourism Minister meets with MMPRC senior officials and key industry stakeholders

    The Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Faisal met with senior officials of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporations (MMPRC) to understand the industry overview.

    The minister met with the Deputy Managing Director Neesha Shahid and Chief Marketing Officer Fathimath Afra of MMPRC on November 20, 2023.

    During the meeting at the Ministry of Tourism, officials from MMPRC highlighted the past works of the tourism board and future plans of tourism promotional activities.

    Besides the minister, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Fathimath Nilfa attended the meeting as well.

    On November 21, the minister met with key tourism industry stakeholders as well. The attendees to the meeting included the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry’s (MATI) Deputy Secretary General Asad Ali and Executive Director Rafil Mohamed, President of MATAO Abdulla Giyas, Executive Board Member of the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) Ismail Hameed, Managing Director of Maldives Association of Yacht Agents (MAYA) Mohamed Nasheed, President of Chefs Guild of Maldives (CGM) Mariyam Noordeen, President of National Hotels and Guesthouses Association of Maldives Abdulla Nasheed and the Vice President of Restaurant Association of Maldives Mohamed Shujau.

    The meeting was about discussions on areas of mutual collaboration with the minister assuring his full support to ensure tourism development.
