As of January 10, 2024 the Maldives has attracted a little over 50,000 arrivals according to the Ministry of Tourism.
Ministry of Tourism in its most recent update revealed a total of arrival of 50,983 as of January 9, which is a 6.4% annual increment compared to the 47,931 arrivals registered in the same duration last year.
While Russia leads the pack with over 7,500 arrivals, Italy is currently at second spot with a little over 7,200 arrivals. India is the third strongest market with more than 3,700 arrivals.
The United Kingdom is closely tailing behind India with a little over 3,700 and Germany is at fifth spot with a little over 3,100 arrivals. USA is currently ranked sixth with over 1,990 arrivals while China is seventh with 1,600 arrivals.
The total bed capacity of the Maldivian tourism industry is at 61,750 in terms of operational properties.
