    The arrivals to the Maldives is currently 11,389 short of hitting 700,000, reported the Ministry of Tourism.

    While China faces no immediate threat of rank replacement, UK and Russia appear to be in stiff competition. On the other hand, Italy and Germany retains their fourth and fifth ranks, respectively.

    9. Switzerland – 17,189

    Total arrivals to the Maldives as of April 14, 2024 reached 688,611 which is 14.6% above the arrival figure for the same period last year, during which it stood at 601,099.

    • February – 217,392 (+22.2%)
    • March – 194,227 (+11.9%)
    • April (1st-14th) – 84,607 (+9.6%)
