    Multiple wins for Maldives at WTA Indian Ocean Category

    Maldives wins in four categories at the World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Category

    The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) on Tuesday announced Maldives has won 4 prestigious categories at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Indian Ocean Category, at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Center.

    The island nation won;

    • Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination 2024
    • Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination 2024
    • Indian Ocean’s Leading Green Destination 2024
    • Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination 2024

    The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, is widely regarded as one of the most respected and popular awards in the world of travel and tourism.

    The Maldives Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Faisal accepted the Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination 2024 accolade, Ayesha Nurain Janah, the Chairperson of MMPRC Board received the award of Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination 2024.

    MMPRC Managing Director Fathmath Thaufeeq accepted the award for Indian Ocean’s Leading Green Destination 2024, and Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination 2024 was accepted by Mohamed Khaleel.
