    Most number of tourist arrivals from the UK in April 2024, reports Maldives Immigration

    According statistics revealed by the Maldives Immigration, the most number of tourist arrivals in April this year was reported from the United Kingdom (UK).

    The authority confirms that arrivals from the UK, China, and Russia topped the chart in April; with arrivals from each of these markets exceeding 16,000.

    Top 10 Arrivals by Nationality – April 2024

    1. UK – 16,888
    2. China – 16,427
    3. Russia – 16,292
    4. Germany – 13,001
    5. Italy – 12,945
    6. India – 7,782
    7. USA – 6,402
    8. France – 6,178
    9. Switzerland – 5,661
    10. Australia – 3,922

    Immigration confirms arrival of a total of 168,368 tourists in the month of April this year. The daily arrivals average for the month stood at 5,612. In terms of growth, arrivals in April 2024 observed a 2.4% jump compared to the same month last year.

    Statistics from the authority also revealed the maximum arrival on a single day was recorded at 6,906 while the minimum arrival on a single day in April stood at 4,400.

    From January 01, 2024 to April 30, 2024 the total arrivals to the Maldives stood at 772,362.
