    Tourist arrivals to the Maldives has reached a total of 981,070, a 10.2% increment this year compared to the same period in 2023.

    Arrivals on a year-to-date basis stood at 890,363 in the same period last year.

    From June 01 to 22, tourist arrivals to the Maldives stood at 88,825 – a 9.5% increment compared to the same period last year. Arrivals from June 01 to 22, 2023 stood at 81,119.

    4. Italy – 78,515
    5. Germany – 76,324
    6. India – 61,052
    7. USA – 35,120
    8. France – 33,362
    9. Switzerland – 22,046
    10. Poland – 18,137

    Highest arrivals in a single day was observed on June 14, Friday with an arrival of 5,646 and the lowest arrivals was registered on June 11, with a total of 3,019.

    As of the tourist arrival statistics from the Ministry of Finance, Maldives is now a little above 18,000 short of reaching the one-million arrival mark for the year. The Maldives government forecasts attracting two million arrivals for the year.
