    Emerald Maldives Resort and Spa announces appointment of new General Manager

    Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa has welcomed its newest General Manager Rohit Chhettri.

    The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 15 by The Emerald Collection’s Partner and Managing Director Aldo Scarapicchia.

    “We are delighted to welcome Mr. Chhettri,” said Scarapicchia. “We are confident that his extraordinary knowledge, expertise, and leadership will be invaluable to the organization as we continue to grow and compete in the luxury hospitality market.”

    Chhettri has a diverse and rich background with more than a decade of international luxury hospitality experience, including positions at Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, Soneva Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Hilton.

    “I am honored to be joining the Emerald Collection,” he said. “My vision for the future is focused on growing the resort’s reputation as the Maldives’ most sought-after all-inclusive destination.”

    Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is a leading tourist property in the Maldives, which had won recent accolades that include the ‘Unrivalled Luxury Leader’ recognition by The Leading Hotels of the World, along with the ‘Best All-Inclusive’ and ‘Best Wellness Resort’ In the World titles at the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Awards 2024.

    Officially launched in 2013, The Emerald Collection is an Italian 5-star luxury property group led by the Scarapicchia family, which has more than 40 years of experience in building and managing luxury all-inclusive properties in the Indian Ocean, Caribbean and East Africa.
